Measure P Committee
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as Wows:
WHEREAS, the Measure P Committee has served on behalf of the City Council of
San Rafael over the past three years to promote and support the City's
paramedic program; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of San Rafael have had the decision placed before them on
the ballot three times in the past four years to determine the paramedic
tax rate; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Measure P Committee have devoted hundreds of
volunteer hours to educate and inform the public about the paramedic
programs; and
WHEREAS, the Measure P Committee has successfully brought together the
neighborhood groups and business organizations to deliver the
necessary votes to achieve a two-thirds majority to continue a high level
of paramedic service in the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the Measure P Committee has made the Commitment to maintain a
continued outreach effort to the citizens to appraise them on how their
paramedic taxes were being spent; and
WHEREAS, the Measure P Committee has achieved its original directive from the
Mayor and City Council of advancing the paramedic program and
assuring its financial integrity and level of care
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express their
appreciation and gratitude to the members of the Measure P Committee for their substantial
contribution of time, expertise and cooperation to the overall goal of assuring the people of San
Rafael receive a quality paramedic program.
