Ex -officio Clerk of the Council of said City, do hereby certify that
the foregoing Charter Ordinance No. 1608 entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE
AMENDMENTS TO THE ANIMAL CONTROL REGULATIONS CONTAINED IN TITLE 8
OF THE MARIN COUNTY CODE (RE AN INCREASE IN LICENSE FEES RELATING
TO ANIMAL CONTROL)"
is a true and correct copy of an ordinance of said City and was
introduced at a Regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of San Rafael, held on the 3rd day of
September , 1991, published as required by City Charter in the
Independent Journal , a newspaper published in the City
of San Rafael and passed and adopted as an ordinance of said City at
a Regular meeting of the City Council of said City
held on the 16th day of September , 19 91 by the following
vote, to wit:

ORDINANCE NO. 1608
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE
AMENDMENTS TO THE ANIMAL CONTROL
REGULATIONS CONTAINED IN TITLE 8 OF
THE MARIN COUNTY CODE(RE AN INCREASE IN
LICENSE FEES AND OTHER FEES RELATING TO ANIMAL CONTROL)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
DIVISION 1. Title 6 of the San Rafael Municipal Code is
hereby amended by amending Section 6.10.012 to read in its entirety
as follows:
Section 6.10.012 Adoption of additions and amendments to
County Code. Pursuant to Section 50022.7 and 50022.9 of the
Government Code, the additions and amendments to the Marin County
animal control code set forth in Marin County Ordinance 3068, and
specifically contained in Marin County Code Sections 8.04.050,
8.04.060 and 8.04.150 in Title 8 of the Marin County Code as
Chapters 8.04, 8.08 and 8.12, are adopted by reference, and shall
be in full force and effect within the City of San Rafael.
DIVISION 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid,
such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions of this Ordinance. The Council hereby declares that it
would have adopted the Ordinance and each section, subsection,
sentence, clause, or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that
any one or more section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase be
declared invalid.
DIVISION 3. This Ordinance shall be published once in full
before its final passage in a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the City of San Rafael, and shall be in
full force and effect thirty (30) days after its final passage.

The foregoing Charter Ordinance No. 1608 was read and
introduced at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
San Rafael held on the 3rd day of September, 1991, and ordered
passed to print by the following vote,to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Breiner, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
and will come up for adoption as an Ordinance of the City of San
Rafael at a Regular Meeting of the Council to be held on the
16th day of September , 1991.
