ORDINANCE NO. 1630
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ADOPTING
THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT 1630 FOR
THE MARIN FELLOWSHIP OF UNITARIANS,
AS CLASSIFIED ON THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA
(REQ Z914 SAN RAFAEL ZONING ORDINANCE)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
DIVISION 1
Certain real property known as the Marin Fellowship of Unitarians is reclassified from PC -NG
(Planned Community-Northgate) on Assessor's Parcel 155-09-13 and from PC-NG(R-13) (Planned
Community-Northgate Overlay [Residential Traffic Distribution Pattern -13 PM Peak Hour Trips]) on
Assessor's Parcel 155-09-23 to PD 1630 on the City of San Rafael Zoning Map as of the
effective date of this ordinance. Said property so reclassified is located at the end of Channing Way,
San Rafael, County Assessor's Parcels 155-092-13 and -23 (see map). This rezoning supersedes Ordinance
No. 735.
DIVISION 2
Any development of Marin Fellowship of Unitarians shall be subject to the following development
standards.
Land Uses: Permits a church on Assessor's Parcel 155-092-13 with related parking and open space areas,
and accessory structures and uses customarily incidental to the permitted use and contained on the same
site. Assessor's Parcel 155-092-23 is also included in this PD zone. It was dedicated to the church by the
property owner of the adjacent parcel 155-092-22. Assessor's Parcel 155-092-23 is to remain in open
space.
Area: 3.83 acres (Assessor Parcel 155-092-13).
DIVISION 3
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. The
Council hereby declares that it would have adopted the Ordinance and each section, subsection,
sentence, clause or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections,
sentences, clauses or phrases may be declared invalid.
DIVISION 4
The Ordinance shall be published once in full before its final passage in a newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in the City of San Rafael, and shall be in full force and effect
thirty days following its final passage.

The foregoing Ordinance No. 16 3 0 was read and introduced at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of San Rafael on Tuesday, September 8th, 1992, and ordered passed to print by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers: Bremer, Cohen, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Boro
NOES: Councilmembers: None
ABSENT: Councilmembers: None
and will come up for adoption as an Ordinance of the City of San Rafael at a regular meeting of the
Council to be held on Monday, September 21st, 1992.
