the foregoing Charter Ordinance NO. 1588 entitled:
AN URGENCY ORDINANCE EXTENDING FOR TWELVE MONTHS ORDINANCE NO.
1561, AN AMENDMENT TO THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE REGULATING THE
CREATION OF NEW LOTS FOR DEVELOPMENT WHICH HAVE SLOPES GREATER
THAN 10% AND TO ASSURE ADEQUATE ON-SITE PARKING.
is a true and correct copy of an ordinance of said City and was
introduced at a REGULAR meeting of the City Council of the City
of San Rafael, held on the 16th day of APRIL ,
19 90 , published as required by City Charter in the
MARIN INDEPENDENT JOURNAL a newspaper published
in the City of San Rafael and passed and adopted as an ordinance
of said City at a REGULAR meeting of the City Council of said
City held on the 16th day of APRIL 19 90

ORDINANCE NO. 1588
AN URGENCY ORDINANCE EXTENDING FOR TWELVE MONTHS ORDINANCE NO.
1561, AN AMENDMENT TO THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE REGULATING THE
CREATION OF NEW LOTS FOR DEVELOPMENT WHICH HAVE SLOPES GREATER
THAN 10% AND TO ASSURE ADEQUATE ON-SITE PARKING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Division 1: This Ordinance is adopted as an
urgency measure, enacted for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health and safety. This ordinance
is necessary to assure the consistent implementation of
standards regulating the creation of new lots for devel-
opment which have slopes greater than 10% as such regula-
tions are contained in Ordinance 1561.
Division 2: San Rafael Ordinance No. 1561,
adopted on April 13, 1989, is hereby extended until May
17, 1991, and shall be null and void after that date.
Division 3: This ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage, and the City Clerk shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and
shall cause the same to be published according to law.

certify the foregoing ordinance was passed by the City Council
of the City of San Rafael, California, by a vote of four-fifths
(4/5ths) of the members thereof, at a regular meeting held on
the 16th day of April, 1990, by the following vote, to wit:
