I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, and
Ex -officio Clerk of the Council of said City, do hereby certify that
the foregoing Charter Ordinance No. 1513 entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING SECTION 2.04.010 "REGULAR MEETINGS" OF CHAPTER
2.04 "COUNCIL" TO PROVIDE THAT IN THE EVENT A REGULAR COUNCIL
MEETING WOULD OTHERWISE FALL ON CERTAIN NAMED HOLIDAYS, THAT
REGULAR MEETING SHALL OCCUR ON THE TUESDAY FOLLOWING THE
NAMED HOLIDAY"
is a true and correct copy of an ordinance of said City and was
introduced at a Regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of San Rafael, held on the Third day of
September , 1985, published as required by City Charter in the
Independent Journal , a newspaper published in the City
of San Rafael and passed and adopted as an ordinance of said City at
a Reuglar meeting of the City Council of said City
held on the Sixteenth day of September 1985, by the following
vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS:None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS:Mayor Mulryan

ORDINANCE NO. 1513
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL AMENDING SECTION 2.04.010 "REGULAR
MEETINGS" OF CHAPTER 2.04 "COUNCIL" TO PROVIDE
THAT IN THE EVENT A REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
WOULD OTHERWISE FALL ON CERTAIN NAMED HOLIDAYS,
THAT REGULAR MEETING SHALL OCCUR ON THE
TUESDAY FOLLOWING THE NAMED HOLIDAY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
follows:
SECTION 1: Chapter 2.04 of Title 2 is amended to read as
SECTION 2.04.010 entitled "Regular meetings" is amended to read
as follows:
The regular meetings of the Council of the City of San
Rafael, County of Marin, State of California, shall be
held on the first and third Monday of each month at
the regular place of meeting specified in this
section. Where the first or third Monday falls upon
either New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day,
the 4th of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day or Christmas
Day, the Council shall meet on the Tuesday following
the holiday. The regular meetings may be adjourned
from time to time as may be determined by the Council
for the purpose of completing the business and duties
of the Council. The meetings shall convene on the
first and third Monday of each month. The closed
sessions of the meetings shall commence at the hour of
seven p.m. and, at the end of the closed session, the
Council shall adjourn to reconvene at the hour of
eight p.m. in open session. Regular meetings may be
adjourned to any other date and time.
All meetings of the Council shall be held at the
City Hall situated on the northerly side of Fifth
Avenue between C Street and E Street, and the meetings
shall be held in the general assembly room in the
building set apart for the meetings of the Council.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be published once in full
before its final passage, in a newspaper of general circulation, published
and circulated in said City, and shall be in full force and effect thirty
(30) days after its final passage.

held on the Third day of September 1985, and ordered passed to
print by the following vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Mayor Mulryan
and will come up for adoption as an Ordinance of the City of San Rafael at
a regular meeting of the Council to be held on the Sixteenth day
of September , 1985.
