of the City of San Rafael, held on the twenty-first day of
March , 1983, published as required by City Charter in the
San Rafael News/Pointer , a newspaper published in the City
of San Rafael and passed and adopted as an ordinance of said City at
a regular meeting of the City Council of said City
held on the fourth day of April 1983, by the following
vote, to wit:

ORDINANCE NO. 1450
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AMENDING
THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL,
CALIFORNIA, ADOPTED BY REFERENCE BY SECTION
14.15.020 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF SAN RAFAEL,
CALIFORNIA, SO AS TO RECLASSIFY CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FROM R-3 (MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL)
DISTRICT TO C-1 (RESTRICTED COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
DIVISION 1. The Zoning Map of the City of San Rafael,
California, adopted by reference by Section 14.15.020 of the Muni-
cipal Code is amended by reclassifying the following real property
from R-3 (Multiple Family Residential) District to C-1 (Restricted
Commercial) District. Said property so reclassified is located at
1120 Nye Street at Mission Avenue, San Rafael, County Assessor's
Parcel 11-223-11 as described in Exhibit "A".
DIVISION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in full
before its final passage in a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the City of San Rafael, and shall be in
full force and effect thirty (30) days after its final passage.

The foregoing Ordinance No. 1450 was read and intro-
duced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
San Rafael, held on the 21st day of March , 1983, and
ordered passed to print by the following vote, to wit:

EXHIBIT "A"
DESCRIPTION:
ALL THAT CERTAIN real property situate in the City of San
Rafael, County of Marin, State of California, described as
follows:
PARCEL ONE:
BEGINNING at a point on the Easterly line of Nye Street, City
of San Rafael, distant thereon 100 feet Northerly from the
Northeasterly corner of Nye Street and Fifth Avenue; running
thence Northerly along the Easterly line of Nye Street 49 feet
to the Southerly line of the lot conveyed by Fred Franks to
Mrs. Elizabeth E. Adams by Deed recorded March 1, 1882 in Book
"W" of Deeds, page 608, thence Easterly along the Southerly
line of said last mentioned lot, 90 feet; thence Southerly and
parallel with Nye Street, 49 feet; thence Westerly 90 feet to
the point of beginning.
PARCEL TWO:
BEGINNING at a point of intersection of the Southerly line of
Mission Street with the Easterly line of Nye Street as said
streets are now used and open and running thence Easterly along
said Southerly line of Mission Street, 95 feet to the Westerly
line of lands belonging to Richard S. Alexander; thence Southerly
and parallel with said Easterly line of Nye Street 127 feet,
more or less, to a point in the Southerly line of Block 37, as
shown on the Map entitled, "Plat of the Townsite of San Rafael"
made by Hiram Austin, Surveyor and filed in the Office of the
County Recorder of the County of Marin, State of California on
October 14, 1873; thence Westerly and along said Southerly line
of Block 37, 95 feet, more or less to a point in the Easterly
line of Nye Street, distant thereon Southerly 129 feet from
the point of beginning and thence Northerly along said Easterly
line of Nye Street, 129 feet to the point of beginning.
BEING a portion of said Block 37.
