I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, and
Ex -officio Clerk of the Council of said City, do hereby certify that
the foregoing Charter Ordinance No. 1479 entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TILE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PROVIDING FOR THE LEASE OF A PORTION OF PUBLIC REAL PROPERTY
AT LINCOLN AVENUE AND SECOND STREET TO THE SHELL OIL COMPANY"
is a true and correct copy of an ordinance of said City and was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of San Rafael, held on the fifth day of
March , 19 8� published as required by City Charter in the
NEWS/POINTER , a newspaper published in the City
of San Rafael and passed and adopted as an ordinance of said City at
a regular meeting of the City Council of said City
held on the fifth day of March 19 84, by the following
vote, to wit:

ORDINANCE NO. 1479
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL PROVIDING FOR THE LEASE
OF A PORTION OF PUBLIC REAL PROPERTY AT
LINCOLN AVENUE AND SECOND STREET TO THE
SHELL OIL COMPANY
The Council of the City of San Rafael, California do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: It is hereby found, determined and ordained that
the real property at Lincoln Avenue and Second Street, a portion of
Assessor's Parcel No. 13-021-19, is not required for public purposes
at this time and the public interest could best be served by entering
into a Lease Agreement, a copy of which is on file with the City Clerk
of the City of San Rafael and by reference is incorporated herein.
SECTION 2: The City of San Rafael, California, a municipal
corporation does hereby lease said real property to the SHELL OIL COMPANY,
a Delaware Corporation with offices at 1150 Bayhill Drive, Suite 200,
San Bruno, California 94066 for the sum of ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY TE -0
THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED ($172,800) for a period of six (6) years, or as
modified by terms as described in a copy of the lease on file with the
City Clerk.
SECTION 3: The Mayor of the City of San Rafael is directed and
authorized to sign said Lease Agreement in the name of said City with the
SHELL OIL COMPANY to carry out the lease upon the terms and conditions as
set forth in the aforementioned Lease Agreement.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be published once in full,
before its passage, in a newspaper of general circulation, circulated in
said City, and shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after
its pazsage.

introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of San Rafael held on the 21st day of February
, 1984 and ordered passed to print by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave, Russom & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBEP.S: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS : None
and will come up for adoption as an Ordinance of the City of San
Rafael at a regular meeting of the Council to be held on the
fifth day of March , 1984.
