ORDINANCE NO. 1355
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING SECTION 5.04.020 OF THE SAN RAFAEL MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
DIVISION 1. Sections 5.04.020 of the San Rafael Municipal
Code adopted by ordinances Number 670 and 1005 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Section 5.04.020 HOLIDAYS:
Within the meaning of this title, Holidays are:
January 1
Third Monday in February
Last Monday in May
July 4
First Monday in September
November 11
Fourth Thursday in November
Fourth Friday in November
December 25
Whenever any of the holidays as set forth above fall on a Sunday, the
Monday following said Sunday shall be observed as a holiday. Whenever
any of the holidays fall on a Saturday, the Friday before said Saturday
shall be observed as a holiday.
DIVISION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in full
before its final passage in a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published, and circulated in the City of San Rafael, and shall be in full
force and effect thirty (30) days after its final passage.

The above and foregoing Charter Ordinance No. 1355 was read and
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
San Rafael held on the 15th day of October 1979 and ordered
passed to print by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Jensen, Nixon and Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Aliskimen
and will come up for adoption as an Ordinance of the City of San Rafael at
a regular meeting of the Council to be held on the fifth day of
November , 1979.
