AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING SECTIONS 14.08.050 D.; 14.12.02 E.2.b.; 14.24.020 II.(a);
14.28 et seq., 14.30 et seq., 14.36.020 I.(b); 14.40.020 I.(b);
14.58.010; 14.58.015(b) and 14.75.050(e)
OF THE SAN RAFAEL MUNICIPAL CODE
(Minor Zoning Ordinance Text Amendments. (778-14) - Various)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
DIVISION 1. Section 14.08.050 D. of the San Rafael Municipal
Code, defining the term "Dwelling group" is hereby repealed.
DIVISION 2. Section 14.12.02 E.2.b. of the San Rafael
Municipal Code is hereby amended by deleting the words "except neon
tubes and incandescent filament bulbs having a wattage of 15 watts or
less" and by adding after the first sentence in said Section the
following words: "Exempt from this requirement are incandescent fila-
ment bulbs of 15 watts or less."
DIVISION 3. Section 14.24.020 II.(a) of the San Rafael
Municipal Code is hereby amended by deleting the words "and dwelling
groups" and by adding a period after the word "houses".
DIVISION 4. Section 14.28.010 through 14.28.060 (Chapter
14.28) of the San Rafael Municipal Code, setting forth the provisions
describing the R -3-R (Restricted Multiple Family Residential District)
is hereby repealed in its entirety.
DIVISION 5. Section 14.30.010 through 14.30.070 (Chapter
14.30) of the San Rafael Municipal Code, setting forth the provisions
describing the R -3-S (Special Multiple Residential District) is hereby
repealed in its entirety.
DIVISION 6. Section 14.36.020 I.(b) of the San Rafael
Municipal Code is hereby amended by deleting the words "and dwelling
groups" and by adding a period after the word "houses".
DIVISION 7. Section 14.40.020 I.(b) of the San Rafael
Municipal Code is hereby amended by deleting the words "and dwelling
groups" and by adding a period after the word "houses".

DIVISION 8. Section 14.75.050(e) of the San Rafael Municipal
Code is hereby amended by deleting the last sentence, commencing with
the words "Swimming pool decks" from said Section.
DIVISION 9. If_ any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid,
such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of this Ordinance. The Council hereby declares that it would have
adopted the Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause,
or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more
sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, or phrases be declared
invalid.
DIVISION 10. This Ordinance shall be published once in full
before its final passage in a newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published, and circulated in the City of San Rafael, and shall be in
full force and effect thirty

The foregoing Ordinance No. 1311 was read and introduced
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San Rafael,
held on the 2nd day of October , 1978, and ordered passed to
print by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Mulryan, Nixon and Vice -Mayor Jensen
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen and Mayor Bettini
and will come up for adoption as an Ordinance of the City of San Rafael
at a regular meeting of the Council to be held on the 1 -6th day of
October , 1978.
