Ordinance No. 1272 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AMENDING
SECTION 8.12.220 (B) OF THE SAN RAFAEL MUNICIPAL
CODE BY CHANGING THE OFFENSE FROM A MISDEMEANOR
TO AN INFRACTION AND REDUCING THE PENALTY

and was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of San Rafael, held on the 6th
day of September, 1977 . Published as re-
quired by City Charter in the Terra Linda News ,
a newspaper printed and published in the City of San Rafael
and passed and adopted as an ordinance of said City at a
regular meeting of the City Council of said City
held on the 19th day of September, 1977 by the
following vote, to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen: Miskimen, Mulryan and Vice -Mayor Jensen
Noes: Councilmen: None
Absent: Councilmen: Nixon and M„yor Bettini

ORDINANCE NO. 1272
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING SECTION 8.12.220 (B) OF THE SAN RAFAEL MUNICIPAL CODE
BY CHANGING THE OFFENSE FROM A MISDEMEANOR TO AN INFRACTION
AND REDUCING THE PENALTY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
DIVISION 1. Section 8.12.220, Disorderly Conduct and
Drinking on Public Property Prohibited, Subsection (b), of the
San Rafael Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
8.12.220 (b) Any person who is convicted of a violation
of any of the provisions of this Section is guilty of an infraction
and shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars.
DIVISION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in full
before its final passage in a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published, and circulated in the City of San Rafael, and
shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its final
passage.

The above and foregoing Ordinance No. 1272 was read and
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
San Rafael, held on the sixth day of September , 1977, and ordered
passed to print by the following vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Nixon and Mayor Bettini
and will come up for adoption as an Ordinance of the City of San Rafael
at a regular meeting of the Council to be held on the 19th day of
September 1977.
