City do hereby certify that the foregoing Charter
Ordinance No. 1278 entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING SECTION 8.30.030 OF CHAPTER 8.30,
VEHICLES USED FOR HUMAN HABITATION, BY CHANGING
THE OFFENSE FROM A MISDEMEANOR TO AN INFRACTION

and was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of San Rafael, held on the3rd
day of October, 1977 . Published as re-
quired by City Charter in the Terra Linda News ,
a newspaper printed and published in the City of San Rafael
and passed and adopted as an ordinance of said City at a
regular meeting of the City Council of said City
held on the 17th day of October, 1977 by the
following vote, to -wit:
Ayes: Councilmen: Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
Noes: Councilmen: None
Absent: Councilmen: Jensen

ORDINANCE NO. 1278
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING SECTION 8.30.030 OF CHAPTER 8.30,
VEHICLES USED FOR HUMAN HABITATION, BY CHANGING THE
OFFENSE FROM A MISDEMEANOR TO AN INFRACTION AND
REDUCING THE PENALTY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
DIVISION 1. Section 8.30.030, Violatiors - Misdemeanor,
of Chapter 8.30 of the San Rafael Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read in its entirety as follows:
8.30.030 Violations - Infraction. Any person violating
any of the provisions of this Chapter is guilty of an infraction as
provided in Section 19(c) of the Penal Code and, upon conviction
thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than Fifty Dollars
for the first offense and for a second or subsequent offense by a
fine of not more than Two Hundred Dollars. Every violator of the
provisions of this Chapter is guilty of a separate offense for every
date such violation shall continue, and shall be subject to the pen-
alty imposed by this Section for each and every such separate offense.
DIVISION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in full
before its final passage in a newEpaper of general circulation, printed,
published, and circulated in the City of San Rafael, and shall be in
full force and effect thirty (30) days fter its al passage.

The above and foregoing Ordinance No. 1278 was read and
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
San Rafael, held on the third day of October 1977, and ordered
passed to print by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Jensen
and will come up for adoption as an Ordinance of the City of San Rafael
at a regular meeting of the Council to be held on the 17th day of
October 1977.
