GRADY, U ty 1erk ORDINANCE NO. 1220 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AMENDING TITLE 2, CHAPTER 2.18 ENTITLED "HISTORIC PRESERVATION" THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 043 ry. DIVISION 1: Section 2.18.4-0-.-3 (a) is hereby amended as follows: 043 2.18.E-3 (a) Notice of Hearinq. Notice of the time, place and purpose of such hearing shall be given by at least one publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the city not less than 7 days prior to the date of hearing. Notice shall also be mailed not less than 5 days prior to the date of hearing to the owners of all property included in the proposed designation and also to the owners of property within 300 feet from the exterior limits of the affected property, using for this purpose the names and addresses of the last known owners as shown on the records of the Assessor. Va.3• 043 D I V I S I ON 2 : Section 2. 18 .-1tY:3' (c) is hereby added to after the last sentence as follows: 043 2.18.49-.-3 (c) Either the Cultural Affairs Commission or the City Council may extend -11 043 its hearing past the 45 day requirement of Section 2. 18.40-.-3,. D I VI S 10 N 3 : If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this ordinance. The City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby declares that it would have adopted said ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared invalid. D I V I S 10 N 4: This ordinance shall be published once in full before its final passage in San F:a'ael Pointer a newspaper of general circulation printed, published and circulated in the City of San Rafael, and shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its final passage.
