IN CONFERENCE ROOM 201 OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, MONDAY, APRIL 3, 1989
AT 6:30 PM.
Special Meeting: Present: Lawrence E. Mulryan, Mayor
Albert J. Boro, Councilmember
Dorothy L. Breiner, Councilmember
Gary R. Frugoli, Councilmember
Joan Thayer, Councilmember
Absent: None
Also Present: Jeanne M. Leoncini, City Clerk
1. INTERVIEWS OF FIVE (5) APPLICANTS RE EXPIRATION OF TWO TERMS ON THE
FIRE COMMISSION (CC) - File 9-2-5
At meeting of March 6, 1989, City Council directed City Clerk to
call for applications due to expiration of terms of Fire Commissioners
Clifford P. Elbing and Lane Fye, at the end of March, 1989.
Five applications were received by Tuesday, March 28, 1989 at 12:00
Noon.
Council interviewed the five applicants, Jonathan Bean, Clifford
P. Elbing, Lane Fye, Richard Heine and Jerome P. Lucey.
After discussion, Councilmember Breiner moved and Councilmember Frugoli
seconded, to reappoint Mr. Lane Fye to fill the four-year term on
the Fire Commission, expiring the end of March, 1993.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Breiner, Frugoli, Thayer & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
Councilmember Boro then moved and Councilmember Frugoli seconded,
to reappoint Mr. Clifford P. Elbing to fill the four-year term on
the Fire Commission, expiring the end of March, 1993.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Breiner, Frugoli, Thayer & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
City Council directed City Clerk to keep the other three applications
on file for consideration in the future, should a vacancy occur.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
