Special Meeting: Present: Dorothy L. Breiner, Vice -Mayor
San Rafael City Council Albert J. Boro, Councilmember
Gary R. Frugoli, Councilmember
Joan Thayer, Councilmember
Absent: Lawrence E. Mulryan, Mayor
Also Present: Pamela J. Nicolai, City Manager; Jeanne M. Leoncini,
City Clerk
I. INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS TO FILL ONE VACANCY ON:
a. CULTURAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION - File 9-2-24
At meeting of August 7, 1989, Council authorized City Clerk to call for
applications to fill one vacancy on the Cultural Affairs Commission due
to the resignation of Becky Poulliot.
Three applicants were interviewd: Cinde Delmas, Lynn Finkelstein and
Fred McClendon.
After discussion, Councilmember Thayer moved and Councilmember Boro
seconded, to appoint Fred McClendon, to fill the unexpired term to the
end of April, 1993, with Lynn Finkelstein appointed as an alternate with
term to expire the end of August, 1993.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Frugoli, Thayer & Vice -Mayor Breiner
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Mayor Mulryan
b. FIRE COMMISSION - File 9-2-5
At meeting of August 7, 1989, Council authorized City Clerk to call for
applications to fill one vacancy on the Fire Commission due to the
resignation of Chairman Lane Fye.
Five applicants were interviewed: Dale Bartley, Philip J. Downs,
Richard Heine, Jerome P. Lucey and John E. McNear, to fill the unexpired
term to the end of March, 1993.
After discussion, Councilmember Frugoli moved and Councilmember Boro
seconded, to appoint Richard Heine to serve the unexpired term to the
end of March, 1993.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Frugoli, Thayer & Vice -Mayor Breiner
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Mayor Mulryan
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
