Special Meeting: Present: Lawrence E. Mulryan, Mayor
San Rafael City Council Albert J. Boro, Councilmember
Gary R. Frugoli, Councilmember
Joan Thayer, Councilmember
Absent: Dorothy L. Breiner, Councilmember
Also Present: Pamela J. Nicolai, City Manager;

Carol Adney, Cultural Affairs Supervisor
1. INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS TO FILL VACANCY ON THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION
(CC) - File 9-2-24
At meeting of September 19, 1988, City Council directed City Clerk
to call for applications to fill the unexpired term of Ann Batman
on the Cultural Affairs Commission who resigned to pursue business
opportunities.
Three applications were received by deadline of Tuesday, October 11,
1988 at 12:00 Noon.
Council interviewed the three applicants, Mr. Lionel G. Ashcroft,
Dr. Frederick A. London and Ms. Diana L. Powers.
Councilmember Boro moved and Councilmember Frugoli seconded, to appoint
Mr. Lionel G. Ashcroft to the Cultural Affairs Commission to serve
the unexpired term to the end of April, 1989.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Frugoli, Thayer and Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
