RE: INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS TO FILL TWO VACANCIES ON FIRE COMMISSION (CC)

At meeting of February 19, 1985, the City Council authorized staff to
call for applications to fill two four-year terms on the Fire
Commission, to expire the end of March, 1989.
Both Clifford Elbing and Lane Fye, whose 4 -year terms expire the end of
March, 1985, indicated they would seek reappointment.
City Council then interviewed five applicants to fill the two
vacancies, as follows:
Mr. Clifford Elbing
Mr. Lane Fye
Mr. John O'Sullivan, Jr.
Mr. Ken Sites
Mr. Timothy D. Fewell
After discussion, Councilmember Breiner moved and Councilmember Nave
seconded, to reappoint Clifford Elbing and Lane Fye to four-year terms
on the Fire Commission, to end of March, 1989.
