Meeting Present: Lawrence E. Mulryan, Mayor/Chairman
Dorothy L. Breiner, Member/Councilmember
Gary R. Frugoli, Member/Councilmember
Richard Nave, Member/Councilmember
Jerry Russom, Member/Councilmember

CITY COUNCIL
RE: INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS TO FILL VACANCIES ON PLANNING COMMISSION
(CC) - File 9-2-6
Council interviewed the following eight (8) applicants to fill two 4 -
year terms on the Planning Commission; terms to expire the end of June,
1989:
Paul Cohen Richard O'Brien
Richard Gosse John Schellenberger, Jr.
Martha Kearns Albert J. Boro
Tona Macken Patricia Garcia
Council also accepted resignation of Planning Commissioner Robert E.
Hoffmann, effective the end of June, 1985. Mr. Hoffmann's term would
have expired as of the end of June, 1987.
Councilmember Breiner moved and Councilmember Frugoli seconded, to
reappoint Albert J. Boro for a 4 -year term as Planning Commissioner,
with term to expire the end of June, 1989.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave, Russom & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
Councilmember Breiner moved to appoint Martha Kearns as Planning
Commissioner.
Motion died for lack of a second.
After discussion, Councilmember Nave moved and Councilmember Frugoli
seconded, to appoint Richard O'Brien for a 4 -year term as Planning
Commissioner, with term to expire the end of June, 1989.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Frugoli, Nave & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner and Russom
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
At the request of Councilmember Russom, Council agreed to call for
additional applications to fill the unexpired term to June, 1987,
caused by resignation of Mr. Hoffmann. New applicants as well as
current applicants will be considered to fill the vacancy.
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
RE: INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS TO FILL VACANCIES ON REDEVELOPMENT CITIZENS
ADVISORY COMMITTEE (4 VACANCIES) (AS) - File R-140 IVa
Agency interviewed the following eight (8) applicants to fill four 4 -
year terms on the Redevelopment Citizens Advisory Committee; terms to
expire the end of June, 1989:
Patricia Garcia
Helen L. Amoroso
Robert W. Beckwith
William Brannan
Don Dickenson
G. Kelley Reid, Jr.
Oren Reinbolt
Anise M. Turina

Jon Baker, the ninth applicant, did not appear for the interview.
After discussion, Member Breiner moved and Member Russom seconded, to
reappoint Don Dickenson and Anise M. Turina to the Redevelopment
Citizens Advisory Committee for 4 -year terms; terms to expire the end
of June, 1989.

ABSENT: MEMBERS: None
After discussion, Member Frugoli moved and Member Nave seconded, to
reappoint William Brannan to the Redevelopment Citizens Advisory
Committee for a 4 -year term; term to expire the end of June, 1989.

NOES: MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: MEMBERS: None
After further discussion, Member Breiner moved and Member Frugoli
seconded, to appoint G. Kelley Reid, Jr. to the Redevelopment Citizens
Advisory Committee for a 4 -year term; term to expire the end of June,
1989.
AYES: MEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave, Russom & Chairman Mulryan
NOES: MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: MEMBERS: None
It was agreed that Mr. Reid would continue to serve on the Board of
Review as there would be no conflict of interest.
There being no further business, meeting was adjourned.
