Special Meeting: Present: Lawrence E. Mulryan, Mayor
Dorothy L. Breiner, Councilmember
Gary R. Frugoli, Councilmember
Richard Nave, Councilmember
Maynard H. Willms, Councilmember
Absent: None
Also Present: Pamela J. Nicolai, City Manager; Jeanne M. Leoncini, City
Clerk; Anne Moore, Planning Director
1. INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS FOR APPOINTMENT TO FILL VACANCIES ON THE
FOLLOWING COMMISSIONS: (CC)
a. FIRE COMMISSION (ONE VACANCY) - File 9-2-5
Council interviewed the following four candidates to fill the one
vacancy on the Fire Commission, with term to expire the end of March,
1991:
Gene Foppiano Richard Heine Jerry Lucey Jeremiah Sweeney
After discussion, Council unanimously reappointed Jeremiah Sweeney
to fill the vacancy on the Fire Commission.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave, Willms & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
b. PLANNING COMMISSION (ONE VACANCY) - File 9-2-6
Council interviewed the following 13 candidates to fill the unexpired
term on the Planning Commission of Maynard H. Willms, who was appointed
to the City Council on March 2, 1987; term to expire end of June,
1990:
Elliot Bien Gregory BrockBank Paul Cohen
Alan Currie Terry DeMartini Jean Lewis
William B. Londeree Jack McDonough Daniel Simonsen
John A. Starkweather William A. Thiercof John S. Touchstone
Patrick Webb
Council, without deliberation, then scheduled another Special Meeting
to be held on Monday, April 13, 1987 in Conference Room 201 at 4:00
P.M., to discuss appointment to fill Planning Commission vacancy.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
