In Conference Room 201 of the San Rafael City Hall, Monday, October 15,
1984, at 6:45 PM
Special Present: Lawrence E. Mulryan, Mayor
Meeting: Dorothy L. Breiner, Councilmember
Gary R. Frugoli, Councilmember
Richard Nave, Councilmember
Jerry Russom, Councilmember
Absent: None
Also Present: Robert F. Beyer, City Manager;
Jeanne M. Leoncini, City Clerk
1. INTERVIEWS OF APPLICANTS TO FILL VACANCY ON (PERSONNEL) BOARD OF
REVIEW (CC) - FILE 9-2-12
City Clerk Leoncini informed the Council that applicant Dick O'Brien
had called indicating he could not attend the interview as he had
a previous commitment.
City Council then interviewed four applicants to fill the unexpired
term to the end of February 1986, caused by the resignation of
Vernon L. Burns.
The applicants interviewed were:
Angelo Douvos
Ronald D. Krieger
G. Kelley Reid, Jr.
Jeremiah J. Sweeney
Councilmember Breiner moved and Councilmember Russom seconded, to
appoint G. Kelley Reid, Jr. to fill the unexpired term to the end
of February 1986 on the (Personnel) Board of Review.
Under discussion, both Councilmembers Frugoli and Nave asked for
consideration of appointment of Dick O'Brien, or rescheduling the
the item to allow Mr. O'Brien to be interviewed.
After further discussion, Mayor Mulryan called for a vote on the
motion to appoint G. Kelley Reid, Jr.
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Russom and Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Frugoli and Nave
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
Council adjourned to regular meeting, Closed Session, at 7:00 PM
immediately following.
