RESOLUTION NO. 10369
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
RICHARD E. GEIST, M.D., F.A.C.S.
WHEREAS, for twenty-seven years, Dr. Richard Geist has given to the
residents of San Rafael, as well as all of Marin County, dedicated care and
service through the Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Geist has been Physician -in -Chief of the San Rafael
Medical Center for eighteen years, providing exceptional leadership during that
time; and
WHEREAS, for the past twenty years, he has provided the support and
guidance of the San Rafael Medical Center as Base Hospital for our prestigious
San Rafael Fire Department Paramedic Program; and
WHEREAS, throughout his career, the fact that Dr. Geist holds hands-on
patient care as a true value is a foremost reason that he has become a role
model to other physician leaders, and
WHEREAS, he has given selflessly to the City of San Rafael as leader,
general surgeon, concerned citizen and bocce ball player.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael, on behalf of all of its residents, hereby joins the San Rafael,
Petaluma and Novato Academy of Arts and Science in celebration of Dr. Richard
E. Geist's twenty-seven year contribution to the Kaiser Permanente Medical
Care Program.
