CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
NADER MANSOURIAN
WHEREAS, Nader Mansourian began working for the City of San Rafael in 1986
as a contract employee and was hired on a full time basis as a
Junior Civil Engineer In 1987. Since July 1997, Nader has been the
City's Traffic Engineer; and
WHEREAS, Nader Is called upon to ensure the safe operation of all of the
streets, roads and Intersections under the Jurisdiction of the City of
San Rafael and has risen to the occasion by meeting the
tremendous demand for transportation analysis for the myriad of
projects being proposed in our City in the last year; and
WHEREAS, he can always be counted on to work as an effective member of the
staff team in analyzing and resolving community Issues having to
do with traffic and circulation; and
WHEREAS, Nader conceived and developed certain traffic management
improvements at the Freitas Interchange and in East San Rafael that
saved the City in excess of $20 million; and
WHEREAS, throughout the time of his service with the City of San Rafael, Nader
has received many commendations, and his expertise In the field of
traffic engineering Is widely recognized not only in the City, but in
the County and entire Bay Area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby designate Nader Mansourian as 1998's Employee of the Year and express
sincere appreciation to Nader for his dedication, professionalism and outstanding
service to the Ci of San Rafael.
