CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
ULLA-BRITT JONSSON AND LINDA JACKSON
WHEREAS, Ulla -Britt Jonsson began working for the City of San Rafael on October
7, 1993 as a Permit Clerk, and has provided outstanding customer
service to applicants and members of the public visiting the Planning
Division; and
WHEREAS, Linda Jackson began working for the City of San Rafael on October 1,
1989 and has advanced to the position of Senior Planner, responsible
for Long Range Planning activities of the City, including notable
success In community planning efforts such as the North San Rafael
Vision, the Canal Voice and the General Plan Conversations; and
WHEREAS, Ulla -Britt and Linda combined efforts to create and provide two
employee training programs: Great Meetings and Great Presentations,
which resulted In training over 50 fellow employees in effective meeting
facilitation and oral presentation techniques; and
WHEREAS, These employee training programs were created on their own initiative,
beyond their normal job responsibilities, in the interest of sharing their
skills to increase the capabilities of the organization; and
WHEREAS, These training programs have enabled City staff to conduct community
meetings with confidence and outstanding results, including the San
Rafael Choices, General Plan Conversations and various neighborhood
and Community Policing meetings without the use of outside
facilitators, and have improved interaction between City staff and
residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San
Rafael designate Ulla -Britt Jonsson and Linda Jackson as 1999's Employees of the
Quarter for the third quarter of 1999 and express sincere appreciation to Ulla -Britt and
Linda for their dedication, professionalism and outstanding service to the residents and
employees of the City of San Rafael.
