CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
IVY WELLINGTON
WHEREAS, Ivy Wellington has served on the Library Board
of Trustees from May of 1985 to April 1997, giving generously of
her time to work for a library that is responsive to community
needs and financially strong; and
WHEREAS, during Ivy's tenure on the Library Board she
has overseen tremendous advances in library service to the
community, including the implementation of an integrated online
library system, and the development of a strong Friends of the
Library organization; and
WHEREAS, as a member %J the Library Board, Ivy was a
source of creative ideas, and was responsible for the revitalization
and success of the Friends of the San Rafael Public Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of San Rafael hereby commends Ivy Wellington
on her twelve years of exemplary service to the community as a
Trustee of the San Rafael Public Library.
