Resolution Approving the Purchase of Two Portable Classrooms for the
Dixie and Mary Silveira Child Care Programs and Authorizing an Expenditure
not to exceed $165,000 from the Child Care Fund.
WHEREAS, The City of San Rafael operates Child Care Centers at Dixie and
Mary Silveira Elementary Schools, and
WHEREAS, the Dixie School District needs the classroom space we currently
rent for program use, and
WHEREAS, the Child Care programs at both sites need more space because
they have doubled in enrollment, and
WHEREAS, the Dixie District is purchasing portables through a group
purchase, and
WHEREAS, the Child Care Fund is able to purchase the building at a cost not
to exceed $165,000 with accrued reserves.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
San Rafael does hereby approve purchase of two portable buildings for Dixie and
Mary Silveira Child Care Centers and authorizes an expenditure not to exceed
$165,000 from the Child Care Fund.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on the 1st
day of APRIL , 1996, by the following vote, to wit:
