Future action will be before the Council regarding approval of an Expenditure Plan, and placing a measure on the ballot. 2n��M Transportation Authority of Marin Making the Most out of Marin Transportation Dollars Provide an opportunity • The TAM Board is considering asking the community if they want to raise the sales tax to fund critical transportation needs. A ballot measure with a 2/3rds majority approval would be required to renew the current sales tax or increase it. • Amount of that higher sales tax has yet to be determined- what are the needs and what level of revenue is necessary to meet those needs. They would meet from June 2017 through December 2017.
