RESOLUTION NO. 9400
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF 11PPRECUITION
TO
WHEREAS, Wayne Lechner has served on the Cultural Affairs Commission from
April 18, 1994 to April 1995; and
WHEREAS, Wayne served as Chairman of the Maintenance Subcommittee of the
Capital Campaign Grounds Committee; and
WHEREAS, due to Wayne's interest, dedication, and caring for the Falkirk grounds
he voluntarily contributed 250 hours of gardening work on the estate; and
WHEREAS, he organized Caring Hands on the Land, a volunteer group of citizens
which helped work and maintain the grounds on a monthly basis; and
WHEREAS, Wayne co-chaired and worked tirelessly on the Italian Street Painting
Festival Cast Party in 1994, orchestrating a successful Commission event which was
repeated in 1995 due to its popularity; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lechner is a selfless volunteer, always willing to help at special
events, whether setting up signage, directing children in song, or just lending a
helping hand.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby extends its appreciation to Wayne Lechner for his devoted service to
the community.
