RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL WAIVING FACILITY FEES
FOR THE SAN RAFAEL CANAL MINISTRY FOR MONTHLY
USE OF PICKLEWEED COMMUNITY CENTER AND PARK
AND FOR CANAL COMMUNITY ALLIANCE FOR ANNUAL HOLIDAY
COOPERATIVE
WHEREAS, the City Council has established a fee schedule for facility
rentals to recoup direct costs and maintenance expenses at city facilities;

WHEREAS, the San Rafael Canal Ministry has requested and received a
fee waiver for the past two years for their regular monthly event; and
WHEREAS, the Canal Community Alliance (CCA) holds an annual
Holiday Cooperative at Pickleweed and has had rental fees waived for the
past several years; and
WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission has reviewed the
request for a fee waiver extension for three years and recommends the City
Council consider approval; and
WHEREAS, the fee waiver is recommended to be considered for three
years but required facility attendant costs be paid for weekend and evening
building use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of
San Rafael does hereby waive the regular building and park facility fees,
except facility attendant costs, for three years beginning July 1993 for the
San Rafael Canal Ministry for their monthly events and for the CCA for their
Holiday Cooperative.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted
at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday , the 4th day
