CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOWITION OF 11PPRECUITION
TO
LINDA BELLATORRE
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Rafael
determined to embark on a collaborative, community based, consensus planning
effort to determine the future of Downtown San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency appointed Linda Bellatorre to serve as a member of
the Downtown Community Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Committee met from 1991 to 1993 to formulate Our Vision of Downtown San
Rafael which reflects the dreams and desires of the entire community; and
WHEREAS, Linda reflected the interests of neighborhoods, downtown shoppers and long time
residents on the Downtown Community Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS, Linda interacted with many of the Plan Sponsor groups, including the Planning
Commission, Federation of San Rafael Neighborhoods, Marin County Historic
Society and the Library Board of Trustees, and kept them informed of the progress
made on the Plan; and
WHEREAS, Linda provided tireless energy, creative ideas, boundless enthusiasm, memorable
earrings, hours of effort throughout our two years of work, and assisted
tremendously in informing the community about Our Vision for Downtown San
Rafael.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Linda Bellatorre for her dedicated and devoted service as a
DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY PLAN COMMITTEE MEMBER and the
contributions she has made to creating a Vision for Downtown San Rafael which
will improve the quality of life for current and future residents of San Rafael.
