KATIE KORZUN
WHEREAS,
the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Rafael
determined to embark on a collaborative, community based, consensus building
effort to determine the future of Downtown San Rafael; and,
WHEREAS,
Katie Korzun was appointed by the City Manager to be the lead staff
person providing professional and technical support to the Downtown
Community Plan Committee; and,
WHEREAS,
Katie developed and maintained an excellent rapport with every member of the
large and diverse Downtown Plan Committee; and,
WHEREAS,
Katie immersed herself in the techniques of visioning and developed an
infectious faith and commitment to the process that inspired and
motivated all of the participants; and,
WHEREAS,
Katie's drive and determination led her to spend many evenings,
weekends and holidays tirelessly producing an exceptionally high quality
and quantity of work; and,
WHEREAS, Katie's professional expertise and personal dedication contributed greatly
towards capturing the community's aspirations for this special place in Qjr
Vision of Downtown San Raft .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael, on behalf of everyone who cares for Downtown, hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Katie Korzun for her devoted service to
the Downtown Community Plan committee and her contributions which have
made the Downtown Vision a vital realityfor the citizens of San Rafael.
