CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF 11PPREEIRTION
TO
Bruce Raful
WHEREAS, Bruce Raful was appointed to the San Rafael Park and Recreation
Commission May 15,1989, and
WHEREAS, as a resident of the Glenwood neighborhood Bruce helped organize,
fund raise and rebuild Victor Jones Park Playground, and
WHEREAS, Bruce was a motivating force and enthusiastic member of the San
Rafael Child Care Task Force which created an Action Plan for improving child care
services in the community, and
WHEREAS, Bruce served on the San Rafael Downtown Plan Committee and was
an effective, knowledgeable liaison to the Park and Recreation Commission on the
important issues related to the new vision for Downtown, and
WHEREAS, Bruce supported the department programs avidly and lived
vicariously through his two sons who enrolled every summer in the Recreation
Departments summer camp programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Rafael hereby
commends the outstanding service and commitment Bruce Raful has demonstrated in
his years of service to the community; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Rafael, on
behalf of all its residents, hereby extends their appreciation and gratitude to Bruce and
wishes him well in his future endeavors which are sure to continue to benefit the San
Rafael community , .
