HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 8830 (Hepatitis B Vaccine)RESOLUTION NO. 8830 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF HEPATITIS B VACCINE USING THE FEDERAL CONSOLIDATED CONTRACT WHEREAS, the Federal Consolidated Contract negotiated by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) with Merck Sharpe & Dohme (MSD) permits any authorized public organization to purchase hepatitis B vaccine directly from the federal contract; and WHEREAS, purchasing hepatitis B vaccine through the auspices of the federal contract provides for significant cost savings by utilizing the federal discount; and WHEREAS, it is staff's recommendation that hepatitis B vaccine be purchased for the City's Infection Control Program (Bloodborne Pathogens) directly from MSD using the Federal Consolidated Contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the San Rafael City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of hepatitis B vaccine from Merck Sharpe and Dohme using the Federal Consolidated Contract. I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on Tuesdav, the 16th day of February, 1993, by the following vote to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEDZBERS: Breiner, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Boro NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None.
