RESOLUTION NO. 8649
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE ACTING
CHIEF OF POLICE TO APPLY FOR A STATE OF
CALIFORNIA, OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
PLANNING (OCJP) CRIME PREVENTION GRANT
WHEREAS, the State of California, Office of Criminal Justice
Planning (OCJP) allocates funds for various grant projects;
and
WHEREAS, the Acting Chief of Police requests authorization to
apply for such grant funds meeting the funding guidelines of
OCJP; and
WHEREAS, the grant requested is to assist in the funding of a
crime prevention program to impact specific issues identified
in the Canal Area of East San Rafael .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Acting Chief of
Police is authorized to submit a grant application to the
State of California, Office of Criminal Planning (OCJP) to
fund a crime prevention program specifically limited to the
Canal area of East San Rafael.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, do
hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a meeting of the City
Council of said City held on Monday, the 20th day of April,
1992, by the following vote, to wit:
