RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A CLAIM
WITH THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
FOR ALLOCATION OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT
ACT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1986-1987, FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF WALKWAY ALONG EAST SIDE OF "D"
STREET FROM ANTONETTE AVENUE TO THE CITY LIMITS
(IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000).
WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA) of 1971
provides for the disbursement of funds from the Local Transportation
Fund of the County of Marin for use by eligible claimants for the
purpose of supporting pedestrian and bicycle projects; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TDA, and pursuant
to the applicable rules and regulations thereunder (21 Cal. Adm. Code
6600 et seq.) a prospective claimant wishing to receive an allocation
from the Local Transportation Fund shall file its claim with the
Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and
WHEREAS, TDA funds from the Local Transportation Fund of
Marin County will be required by the City of San Rafael in Fiscal Year
1986-1987 for the construction of a walkway along "D" Street, and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 85-495 of the Board of Supervisors,
County of Marin, incorporated the "D" Street walkway in the Fiscal Year
1986-1987 priority listing for TDA claim submission,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael, Marin County, California, hereby authorizes the
construction of a walkway along "D" Street and authorizes the submittal
of a claim to the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for said
project.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of
said City held on the 6th day of January, 1986, by the following vote,
to wit:
