RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO CORNELIUS "NEIL" SULLIVAN
WHEREAS, after thirty-four years of dedicated service and an exceptional
career in the field of law enforcement, CORNELIUS "NEIL" SULLIVAN will retire from
the Federal Bureau of Investigation on the 22nd day of December, 1975; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure as an officer of this agency NEIL SULLIVAN
was involved in numerous major, as well as minor, investigations, many dangerous
security espionage incidents, and in 1947 was personally commended by J. Edgar
Hoover for heroic action; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of NEIL SULLIVAN's high ethical standards and
leadership quality this fine officer was appointed Senior Resident Agent of the
San Rafael Office of the F.B.I. in June, 1970, and has served extremely effectively
in this capacity, gaining the highest respect from both his fellow officers and
other agents throughout the County of Marin and State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
San Rafael in grateful acknowledgement of NEIL SULLIVAN's significant contribution
to the citizenry of this community, affectionately extends to him sincere appre-
ciation and warmhearted wishes for happiness and well-being in his future retirement
years.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 15th day of December,
1975, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
