A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR CERTAIN PROJECTS UNDER THE FEDERALLY
FUNDED ACCELERATED PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has enacted
the Public Works Improvement Act of 1976; and
WHEREAS, this legislation was duly signed into law by
President Carter; and
WHEREAS, the legislation establishes an implementation
procedure for the funding of capital improvement projects; and
WHEREAS, staff has presented nine projects for review
by the San Rafael City Council; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council has added to this
list a soccer field for Davidson School;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City
Council hereby authorizes staff to proceed with the application for
projects eligible for funding under the Public Works Improvement
Act of 1976;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are authorized to execute all appropriate documentation necessary
for the submission within the grant application process.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a special meeting of the City
Council of said City held on Monday the 13th day of September, 1976
by the following vote, to wit:
