A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
WHEREAS, in recognition of their talent, dedication and service
the Sanctuary Bells Handbell Choir of the St. Luke Presbyterian Church
has been invited to perform at Cal -Expo; and
WHEREAS, this invitation is unique and singular in that the
Sanctuary Bells are the first handbell choir ever to appear at Cal -Expo;
and
WHEREAS, the Sanctuary Bells Handbell Choir has also performed
in area and national handbell festivals;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by unanimous action of the
San Rafael City Council that the Sanctuary Bells Handbell Choir of St.
Luke Presbyterian Church is designated as the City of San Rafael's official
representative at Cal -Expo; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City's best wishes are ex-
tended to each and every member of the Sanctuary Bells for their
participation and honor of being the first handbell choir to perform at
Cal -Expo.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a special meeting of the Council of said City
held on Wednesday the 20th day of August 1975,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan and Mayor Bettini
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Nixon
