A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING
OF A LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf
of the City of San Rafael a lease or agreement with
Redevelopment Repayment Contract
A copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part
hereof.
I, MARION A. GRADY, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on Monday the 25th _ day of August ,
19 75 , by the following vote, to wit:

MARINA LOAN REPAYMENT AGREEMENT
This Agreement is made and entered into this
day of September, 1975, by and between the City of San Rafael,
hereinafter "City," and the San Rafael Redevelopment Agency,
hereinafter "Agency."
RECITALS:
1. On the 20th day of November, 1972, the City Council
of the City of San Rafael adopted the Central San Rafael Rede-
velopment Plan. Included within the boundaries of said project
is a marina area which the Agency, pursuant to said plan, was
to upgrade so as to eliminate blighting influences within the
project area.
2. To assist in this process, the City of San Rafael,
pursuant to Section 5002 of Title 14 of the California Adminis-
trative Code, filed a formal application for a planning loan of
$35,000 with the State Department of Navigation and Ocean Deve-
lopment for the purpose of planning the development of small
craft harbor facilities.
3. It has been found and determined by both the Agency and
the City that the planning of said facilities and their ultimate
construction is a benefit to the project area.
4. On July 28, 1975, the City entered into a Planning Loan
Agreement with the Department of Navigation and Ocean Development
whereby the Department agreed to loan the City $35,000 to assist
in the planning of a small craft harbor facility. Said Agreement
is attached hereto as Exhibit A and i nrorporciLed lierOi n b�, rcfe•i-ciico.
AGREED:
As said planning of harbor facilities has been determined to
be a benefit to the Central San Rafael Redevelopment Project Area,
the Agency hereby agrees to repay to the City solely out of
tax increment funds generated within the project area to the extent
those funds are legally available to the Agency for the planning
of said harbor facilities an amount not to exceed the principal
sum of $35,000 plus accrued interest at an interest rate of 4 1/20
per annum as set forth in that certain Agreement between the
City and Department of Navigation and Ocean Development dated
July 28, 1975. Payment by Agency shall be used to repay the
Department of Navigation and Ocean Development pursuant to said
loan contract.
