HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4888RESOLUTION NO. 4888 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ADOPTING PULES AND REGULATIO14S RE USE OF TENNIS COURT FACILITIES OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL. WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has recommended certain rules and regulations be adopted regulating the use of the tennis court facilities of the City of San Rafael; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered said rules and regulations. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the following rules and regulations are adopted regulating the use of the tennis court facilities of the City of San Rafael: 1. All persons using said tennis court facilities shall wear tennis shoes. 2. Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or any other kind of mechanical devices are not permitted on the courts. 3. All players may play one set of singles or two sets of doubles and, upon completion of these sets, all players must vacate courts to the next group waiting. 4. When a set reaches six -all, the winner of the 13th game will be declared winner of the set when players are waiting. 5. Adults shall have priority in usage of the courts over children 12 years and under on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and on weekdays after 6:00 p.m. 6. Use of the courts for tennis instruction, tournaments and exhibition matches sponsored by the San Rafael Recreation De- partment shall have priority over general public use. 7. Any dispute in interpretation of these rules, or deviation therefrom, shall be determined by an authorized representative of the City of San Rafael. 8. Any infraction of these rules shall cause a player to be expelled from the courts. 9. Use of public tennis courts for private tennis instruction is strictly prohibited. I, MARION A.
