RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO JAY H. FLETCHER
WHEREAS, after twenty-eight years of faithful dedication to the field
of law enforcement, LIEUTENANT JAY H. FLETCHER will take a
well-deserved retirement from the San Rafael Police Depart-
ment on March 31, 1974; and
WHEREAS, during these many years, as an officer of this Department
Lieutenant Fletcher has continually contributed a high level
of performance while at the same time demonstrating deep
concern for the safety and well-being of the citizens of this
community; and
WHEREAS, in his quiet and efficeint manner, he has gained respect and
affection from his fellow officers as well as from the many
friends and associates who have had the privilege of knowing
and working with him.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby commends Lieutenant Fletcher for outstanding
service and extends to him sincere and best wishes for good
health and happiness in his future retirement years.
I, MARION A. GRADY, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, California HEREBY
CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a Regular meeting of the Council of said City held on
the 1st day of April , 1974, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Jensen, Miskimen, Mulryan, Nixon and Mayor Bettini
