HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 4798RESOLUTION NO. 4798 RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL TO THE CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON OPEN SPACE SELECTION WHEREAS, the citizens of San Rafael have expressed their desire to preserve Open Space lands within the City of San Rafael, and thereby preserve the character and uniqueness of the community; and WHEREAS, this desire has manifest itself through the passage of a $2-•1/4 million bond issue for the acquisition of Open Space; and, WHEREAS, the City Council sought to derive a composite representation of community input regarding the prioritization of parcels for acquisition from the proceeds of this fund; and WHEREAS, the CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON OPEN SPACE SELECTION was appointed to achieve community input and to priority rank the various parcels which are to be considered for purchase; and WHEREAS, the CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON OPEN SPACE SELECTION has assiduously, energetically and enthusiastically pursued this goal; and WHEREAS, the CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON OPEN SPACE SELECTION has reported to the San Rafael City Council their findings and recommendations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council extends its deep appreciation to the CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON OPEN SPACE SELECTION for the faithful dispatch of its duties and its comprehensive recommendation concerning priorities for Open Space acquisition. I, MARION A.
