The Library will be open for business from 1 to 5 p.m., and the event will be preceded by an outdoor bagpipe concert at 12:30 p.m. We expect hundreds of people to turn out in celebration of their Public Library, to patronize the Library, to participate in programs at the Library and at Falkirk, and to attend the event re-creating the January, 1909 opening of the new Library to the public. ANALYSIS: Street closure will ensure safe access to the event by pedestrians coming from parking areas downtown. It will have minimal impact on automobile traffic since the event is on a Sunday. FISCAL IMPACT: None. OPTIONS: ACTION REQUIRED: Approve staff recommendation. Encls. FOR CITY CLERK ONLY File No.: Council Meeting: Disposition: RESOLUTION NO.
