MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
ADA ACCESS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM
Community Development Conference Room
3rd Floor, City Hall, 1400 Fifth Avenue
San Rafael, California
Attendees: Fred Divine, John Erdmann, Jonathan Frieman, Timothy Park, Ashley Tomerlin,
Dianne Wolfe; Don Jeppson, Chairman
Absentees: Ewen McKechnie, Timothy Lord
1) Call to Order - The Chairman called to order the meeting at 2:02 pm.
a) Determination of a Quorum was made and was present.
b) New committee members and City staff were introduced by the Chairman.
2) Public Comments for Items Not on the Agenda - The Chairman opened the meeting for
public comments; there was no public comments.
3) Staff Reports and Information Items
a) Bylaws were reviewed and discussed by the Committee. There were no proposed
changes at this time.
b) Brown Act was reviewed and discussed by the Committee.
c) ADA Coordinator Report was given by the Chairman.
(i) As part of the ADA Coordinator report an update on City Hearing Assisted
Programs was given by Gus Bush from Digital Services.
4) Future Topics - The Chairman open a discussion on future topics. The following list was
established by the Committee.
a) Brown Act, CIP, DPW, Sidewalk/Curb Updates, Transition Plans,
Emergence Preparedness, Police
5) Next meeting: December 4, 2019.
6) Adjournment; The Chairman adjourned the meeting at 3:10 pm.
