THE COUT4CIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, DO 0 RDAill
AS FOLT GINS:
SECTION 1:
WHEREAS, on the day of 19531
the Council of the City of San Rafael did pass and adopt Resolution
No. If 741 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain unin-
habited territory to the City of San Rafael, said territory being
therein designated as "LOS RANCHITOS", and said action being taken
by the Council of said City as the legislative body of the City
pursuant to a written petition therefor, said Resolution describ-
ing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to
said City; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution NO. did contain a notice
of the day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said
City would hear protests riade by any person owning real property
within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said
hearing being not less than fifteen nor more than forty days
from the date of passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the , day of 1953, at the
hour of 8:00 otclock P. M., in the Council Chambers in the City
Hall of the City of San Rafael, County of Marin, State of Cali-
fornia, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed
in said Resolution No. for hearing protests to the said
annexation, the said Council of said City did hear and pass upon
all protests made to said proposed annexation and did determine
that no protests to said proposed annexation have been made by
the owners of one-half of the value of the value of the territory
proposed to be annexed as shoran by the last equalized assessKient

roll, nor by public and private owners of one-half of the value
of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said
legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City
of San Rafael and is uninhabited territory in the County of
Marin;
SECTION 2;
NUN, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of San
Rafael does hereby approve the annexation of said territory,
hereinafter described, to the City of San Rafael and does
hereby further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby
annexed to the City of San Rafael.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
City of San Rafael is hereby approved, is all that territory
situate in the County of Marin, State of California, more
particularly described as follows;
BEGINNING at a point in the westerly boundary line of the lands described in
the Deed from Grace M. McLean to San Rafael Land Title Company, dated February
13, 1946, and recorded February 15, 1946, in Liber 495 of Official Records,
at page 393, Marin County Records; said point being North 610 Olt 4011 West
64 feet,more or lese,from the intersection ai the courses North 850 221 3011
East -144.16 feet and South 850 111 East 289.39 feet; thence from said point
-of beginning and leaving said westerly boundary line North 610 O11 40" Wast
3203.747 feet to a point in the northwesterly line of said property so described
in said Deed to San Rafael Land Title Company; thence South 340 00, West along
said northwesterly line, 300 feet,more or less, to the most westerly corner of
the said property so described in said Deed to San Rafael Land Title Company,
said point being also the common corner of the lands now or formerly of Forbes,
Tamalpais Cemetary and Freitas (formerly Lucas); thence southerly along the
westerly and southwesterly line of said Deed to San Rafael Land Title Company,
the following courses and distances; South 250 00t East 794 feet and South 600
451 E:.st 924.79 feet; thence South 600 211 East 540.15 feet; South 670 561 East
401,77 feet; South 790 521 East 402.91 feet and southerly in a direct line 320
feeds More or ies;�, to the Westerly corner of the tract of land conveyed to
Margin Title Guaranty Company, by Deed recorded February 13, 1945, in Liber 481
of Oficial Records, at page 129, Marin County Records; thence leaving said
line �,_nd running North 340 4.71 East 617.5 feet, more or less, to a point in
the southwesterly boundary of Parcel A as described in the deed from Marin Title
Guaranty Company, a corporation, et al, to Herbert A. Crocker & Co., a corporatior.
reccrded March 18, 1952, in Liber 734 of Official Records, at page 318; thence
North 340 30' West 38.811 feet; South 730 071 West 65.0 feet; North 160 531
West 60 feet; North ?3° 071 East 65.0 feet; South 160 531 East 3.111 feet:North
710 461 East 13.866 feet; North 750 191 3011 East 114.37 feet and North 630 36,
East 95 feet,more or less, to the point of beginning.
SECTION 3:
This ordinance shall be published once in full
before its final passage in the INDEPENDEi+T JOURNAL, a daily
newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and shall be in full force and effect
forthwith upon and after its final passage.
The above and foregoing Charter Ordinance No.

City of San Rafael held on G the t day of

following vote, to -wit:

ABSENT: Councilmen: Brown
and will come up for adoption as an ordinance of
the City of San Rafael at a _Regular
Meeting of the Council to be held on Monday, the
