Third Street Project
Staff is asking the City Council to:
1.Award the Construction Contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder:Ghilotti
Bros.Inc.
2.Approve and authorize the execution of a professional services agreement with Park
Engineering for construction management,material testing,and inspection services.
3.Approve and authorize an amendment to the professional services agreement with Kimley
Horn to perform construction support services.
Tonight’s Objectives
Third Street Project
1.Improve safety for all users
2.Upgrade traffic signals and provide safety lighting
3.Improve pedestrian crossings and repair
sidewalks
4.Repair drainage
5.Expand and connect the communications network
6.Develop an economically viable project

Construction Update
1.Construction (March 2022 to July 2023)
•Both projects
2.Lane closures during off peak periods
•Westbound:6 am to 3 pm
•Eastbound (Second Street):9 am to 6 pm
3.Miramar Sewer work:full closure 7am to 6pm
4.Night work:6pm to 6am

Nightwork Hours
1.Night work:6pm to 6am
•Utility work east of Lincoln (Water line:Mid May to July 2022,Sewer TBD:3 weeks)
•Loudest operations from 6pm to 10pm (sawcutting,jack hammering,potholing)
•Paving and striping (Spring/Summer 2023)
