SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF AFFIRMATIONS OF CONFIDENTIALITY OF CLOSED
SESSIONS FOR COUNCILMEMBER KATE COLIN, AND MARK MOSES
INTERIM FINANCE DIRECTOR (CC)
It is recommended that Council accept Affirmations of Confidentiality of Closed
Sessions, which have been executed by Councilmember Kate Colin and Mark Moses,
Interim Finance Director, as required by established City Council policy.

I solemnly affirm that as an appointed officer of the City of San Rafael,
sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States and the State of California, I am
cognizant of the following:
That the closed sessions of the City Council of the City of San Rafael are
governed by the provisions of California Government Code Section 54950 et seq., and
that the content and substance of said sessions, unless required by law, must remain
secret and confidential;
That the interests of the City of San Rafael, its citizens, officers and
employees are best served through the preservation of the confidentiality of those matters
discussed in closed session except when disclosure is required by law or by the majority
decision of the City Council.
Therefore, I do affirm that I will preserve the confidential nature of all
closed sessions of the City Council of San Rafael unless disclosure is required by law or
by the majority vote of the City Council.
