BACKGROUND: The West End Village has been developing events for their area for the pa
several years. The Fall Fun Day on October 27, 2013 will be their fourth event produced by

local business owner and community advocate; Adam Violante .
ANALYSIS: Fall Fun Day is being produced by a West End Associates Committee chaired by
Mr. Violante'with support from West End Village merchants and residents. The R.
Business Improvement District has committed funds to support the event. The goal of this event
is to create local synergy at the west end of Fourth Street and to introduce the unique, thriving
environment of the West End Village to new visitors The plans for this year's event include live
music, food, beverages, children's activities, interactive art activities and a mix of local
merchants and street vendors.
The West End Associates Committee will ensure that proper steps are taken to notify in
advance the local businesses and residents regarding the event as well as the time frame fo
the road closure and traffic alternate routes. I
FISCAL IMPACT: None. Any Police Department or staff expense will be paid by the event
producer. A deposit will be made in advance by the event producer to cover police costs.
