CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
ISGUITION OF 11PPRECIRTION
TO
7 & 11 NARK DRIVE
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael City Council established the Design Awards
Program on March 1, 1999 to recognize development projects with exceptional
architectural design; and
WHEREAS, the City Council established a Design Awards Jury consisting of a
representative from the City Council, Planning Commission, Design Review Board,
Chamber of Commerce, Federation of San Rafael Neighborhoods, North San Rafael
Coalition of Residents, and Marin Chapter of the American Institute of Architects; and
WHEREAS, the Design Awards Jury met on October 5, October 19 and October
26, including a tour of the finalists, to review the 25 nominations for recognition; and
WHEREAS, the Design Awards Jury has recommended an Honoraple Mention
Award for Landscaping at 7 & 11 Mark Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The San Rafael City Council honors the landscaping at 7 & 11 Mark Drive as an example
of a creative landscape site enhancement, commends the project for its contribution to the
City of San Rafael, and presents an Honorable Mention Award to Rynerson & O'Brien
Architecture, Oakland; landscape designer and installer Goodman Landscape Design,
Berkeley; and owner Michael LaValley of San Rafael.
