RESOWITION OF APPRECIATION
TO
REVEREND JAN HEGLUND
WHEREAS, Reverend Jan Heglund has served as a Police Chaplain
since 1997 and has donated thousands of hours of service to the San
Rafael Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Heglund has freely given those hours of her
time to assist the Police Department in its mission; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Heglund has provided invaluable assistance to
the Police Department and the City of San Rafael through her dedicated
service in helping department personnel and members of the public deal
with traumatic incidents, by providing counseling, support and spiritual
guidance during times of grief and difficulty in their lives; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Heglund is always alert to the Spiritual and
emotional needs of department members and provides guidance and
insight to department members and their families, as well as members of
the public, when they are in need of assistance; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Heglund has always performed her duties with
enthusiasm and devotion to the department and to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council
of San Rafael hereby extend their appreciation and thanks to Reverend
Jan Heglund for her ten years of outstanding and dedicated service to
the City of San Rafael as a Police Chaplain.
