TO
PETE MARTIN
WHEREAS, Pete Martin has served as President of the Santa Margarita Neighborhood
Association for the past six years, and has served as the Chair of the North
San Rafael Coalition, helping revitalize this important organization; and
WHEREAS, Pete helped conceptualize the plan for "Recreate the Creek" and led the
Project's Fundraising Campaign that has reached $100,000, matching the
City's funding and ensuring the project's success; and
WHEREAS, Pete helped create and coordinate a model partnership with the City to
complete the Santa Margarita Neighborhood Association's "Del Ganado
Gateway Tree Project" to install landscaping along the Del Ganado Road
interface with the Scotty's Market Center; and
WHEREAS, Pete has served as Coordinator of two successful "Committee for San
Rafael Paramedics" Measure "P' election Campaigns; and
WHEREAS, Pete has worked diligently and passionately on many productive projects
benefiting his neighborhood, the City of San Rafael and Marin County;
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby commend Pete Martin for his tireless and selfless
efforts on behalf of the City of San Rafael.
