CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF 11PPREEIRTION
TO
PEGGY MANUEL
WHEREAS, Peggy has been a valued member of the San Rafael Library since November
1988; and
WHEREAS, Peggy plays a critical role in providing secretarial and office administrative
assistance to Library staff and volunteers; and
WHEREAS, Peggy has invaluable knowledge of Library procedures, and is constantly
searching for ways to streamline library operations and save money. Peggy is
known as the `Budget Watchdog'; and
WHEREAS, Peggy assists with numerous special projects, including critiquing the Children's
Librarians' annual outreach presentation to the schools. She is `second -in -
command' for the management of the Library's adult AV collection; and
WHEREAS, Peggy is a person of action who often takes care of things without even
mentioning it. She sees something needs to be done and does it; and
WHEREAS, Peggy is an innovator who seeks effective solutions for a wide range of
challenges that arise in an older building; and
WHEREAS, Peggy is respected and appreciated for her professionalism, her commitment to
the San Rafael Library's staff, volunteers and patrons, and for her efficiency,
tireless energy and loyalty.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby designate Peggy Manuel as the Employee of the Quarter for the Second Quarter of
2004 and express sincere appreciation for her dedication, professionalism and outstanding service
to the City of San Raf 1.
